In this topic we would like to adopt (with permission) a wonderful idea from the magazine DSAU (Down Syndrome Amongst Us) called "Up Syndrome.

Please post cute comments, jokes or pictures of your Down Syndrome child.

Pictures can be posted by clicking on above.
Note: Pictures can't be uploaded, you can only link to it if it exists on another website.

P.S. If you ever intended to submit this 'Up Syndrome' to the DSAU magazine, please do so and don't post it here.

THE DAY ALL WOMEN HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR HAS ARRIVED!!!
My husband fell into bed with a terrible stomach virus after our baby's bris, two weeks ago. He was moaning and groaning and drinking tea and taking all kinds of stomach-relief medications. Moishey, our 15-year-old son with DS went into the bedroom to 'visit' his sick father. He then came to me, the kimpeturin, and said, "Mommy, I think Tati is also going to have a baby."

We had a beautiful baby boy that has DS in Mid-august. He has a ton of silky dark brown hair with nice highlights, and eveyone comments on his hair cuz there's alot of it on top of his small head. We were at the cardiologist when he was about a month or two, and we were talking with the cardiologist, and I was explaining my wonder to the cardiologist of how right after his birth some doctor's have told us that they have "bad news" for us ...(i.e. that our child was confirmed to have DS)
The cardiologist looked at our baby then looked at me and said "I think the worse new is is that this kid's got the worse hair do!"

One friday my mother went to wake up my younger brother with DS (11 yrs). she was surprised to see him dressed and ready in a white shirt. My mother asked him why he was wearing a white shirt and tie on Friday? He answered very innocently, it's almost shabbos!!!

We have been modeling some basic table manners for our three and a half year old. The other day, he and I sat down at the table for a drink. I poured him a drink, then took one for myself and put the cup back on the table. Immediately, his eyes lit up as he said "Yay Ima." and continued with great drama and an encouraging nod of his head "Cup down"
